Lightspeed at the Pin™ – RFOptix Accelerates Scalable 224G and Beyond Test Solutions for AI Photonics at ECOC 2026
Created September 14, 2026High-channel-count electrical and optical test solutions enable production-scale validation for next-generation LPO, CPO, NPO and AI infrastructure
MÁLAGA, Spain — September 2026 — RFOptix will showcase its latest portfolio of high-performance electrical and optical test solutions at ECOC 2026 (Booth 1402), introducing technologies designed to accelerate the transition to 224 Gbps per lane and beyond for AI networking, hyperscale data centers, and next-generation photonic interconnects.
Under the theme “Lightspeed at the Pin™,” RFOptix is redefining production test by combining near-laboratory-grade measurement performance with the scalability required for high-volume manufacturing of Linear Pluggable Optics (LPO), Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), Near-Packaged Optics (NPO), optical engines, silicon photonics, and future AI networking platforms.
Scalable High-Speed Test for AI
RFOptix’s latest platform delivers high-channel-count electrical receiver testing and transmitter eye qualification for 224 Gbps PAM4 devices and future generations of high-speed interconnects. Designed for production environments, the architecture enables highly parallel testing to increase throughput while maintaining the precision required for next-generation AI and high-performance computing applications.
At the core of the RFOptix platform is the HSO7000 Series Harmonic Sampling Oscilloscope, delivering 70 GHz analog bandwidth for both electrical and optical measurements with 150 femtoseconds (typical) of intrinsic jitter. Serving as the platform’s precision measurement engine, the HSO7000 supports 224 Gbps PAM4 transmitter eye qualification and next-generation photonic and high-speed electrical interconnect production testing.
The HSO7000 combines a familiar user interface for experienced sampling oscilloscope users with a comprehensive suite of waveform analysis and signal-processing tools. These include Transmitter and Dispersion Eye Closure for PAM4 (TDECQ) and optical analysis capabilities supporting the characterization and qualification of CPO, LPO, and NPO devices. Familiar measurement workflows help engineers bring established characterization methods into scalable production test environments.
Together, these technologies enable customers to increase manufacturing throughput, reduce cost per tested channel, and confidently scale production as optical interconnects advance toward faster data rates, higher channel densities, and new AI/HPC networking architectures.
Building the Manufacturing Infrastructure for AI
The explosive growth of AI workloads is fundamentally transforming how optical interconnects are designed, validated, and manufactured. As hyperscale data centers deploy increasingly complex photonic architectures, manufacturers require production test platforms capable of delivering semiconductor-class throughput without compromising measurement fidelity.
RFOptix addresses this challenge by bringing semiconductor-inspired automation, parallelism, and manufacturing efficiency to photonic test. The result is a scalable platform bridging the gap between engineering characterization and high-volume production, enabling customers to accelerate time-to-market while maintaining the measurement precision demanded by next-generation optical technologies.
“AI is fundamentally changing how photonic devices are manufactured and tested,” said Federico Lipparini, Chief Executive Officer of RFOptix. “Our vision is to set the benchmark for high-volume photonic production testing by bringing semiconductor-class scalability, efficiency, and value to the photonics industry. By combining world-class measurement performance with production-scale architectures, RFOptix is helping customers build the manufacturing infrastructure to power the next generation of AI.”
As the industry transitions beyond 224 Gbps toward increasingly integrated optical systems, RFOptix remains committed to delivering Lightspeed at the Pin™—providing the precision, scalability, and production-ready performance required to enable the future of AI connectivity.
