ECOC 2022 Exhibition Industry Awards Announced

The awards return for the third year and once again emphasise technology and product commercialisation; highlighting significant achievements in advancing the business of optical communications, transport, networking, fibre-based products, photonic integration circuits and related developments. The committee reviews the progress of advanced technologies from research to commercialisation including volume production as well as new and innovative products.

Lightwave Logic’s Michael Lebby was joined by ECOC TV to give awards in the carefully curated selection of categories to deserving winners. From a pool of strong nominations, five companies left the Product Focus theatre with Industry Awards.

 

 

The winners were:

Best Fibre/Fibre Component Product Award

Lumenisity: CoreSmart® cable technologies.

 

Optical Integration (SiPh and/or other) Award

Coherent: 400G ZR+ QSFP-DD-DCO transceivers

 

Data Centre Innovation Best Product Award

Lumentum: 200G PAM4 EML chips.

 

Most Innovative Product Award

Ciena: WaveLogic 5 Nano PKT-MAX

 

Optical Transport Award

Source Photonics: 400G QSFP-DD and 100G QSFP28 PAM4 products

 

Most Innovative FTTx Product Award

Source Photonics: 50G PAM4 SFP56 transceivers

Optical Connections congratulates the winners and we look forward to recognising further innovations that will drive the industry forward at ECOC 2023. Acceptance interviews with all the 2022 winners will be available to view in the coming weeks on the ECOC website.
