Photonic Components, a German-based manufacturer of VCSEL and photodiode solutions for data communication, will show its current 850 nm product portfolio and its future roadmap for longer wavelengths at the OFC in San Diego.

With a history in VCSEL and photodiode technology, the company says it continues to innovate its product portfolio. TRUMPF will showcase longer wavelength solutions, an expansion of its existing portfolio of 850 nm VCSELs. The company is introducing VCSELs with wavelengths above 940 nm. This, says TRUMPF, is its response to market requirements for broader temperature ranges, higher product robustness and service life.

TRUMPF also announced it has completed its first investment tranche in its production site in Ulm, Germany, entailing a multi-million Euro upgrade to its manufacturing platform and to support further business growth. The company is building on more than 20 years of experience in the market with the strategy of not only designing standard modules, but also customised solutions for high-speed and high performance VCSELs and photodiodes.
