The Fiberone U-Series fibre connectivity system (FCS) made its debut at the Fiber Connect Conference this month, providing significant value by improving access to fibre connectors, simplifying fibre management and minimizing rack space, according to the manufacturer.

Claimed to be an industry first in the FCS product category, the U-Series FCS puts the focus on providing efficient network performance and labour cost savings. The compact design includes telescoping universal fibre cassettes that put jumpers at technicians’ fingertips while securing the network fibres. The dust-resistant U-Guard fibre manager keeps connections clean and organized.

Traditional patch and splice panels are not efficient, says Fiberone. They take up too much space and make connector access difficult meaning that network professionals need a better solution to solve space limitations and reduce overall real estate and associated labour costs.

Other features of the U-Series include: bend radius-limiting base which supports the telescoping feature; factory-installed fusion splicing with fibre pigtails allowing patented compact design and simple installation; a clear, hinged top cover enables easy access to the splicing area and  fibre storage; a removable U-Guard improves connector access and protects jumpers and a variety of chassis fit up to 288 fibres in one third of the space required by a traditional LGX.
