Molex invests in Elenion to ‘accelerate innovation in silicon photonics’

Investment in Elenion Technologies further addresses “explosive” market demand for hyperscale bandwidth with silicon photonic-based interconnect solutions.

Molex Ventures has announced a strategic investment and collaboration between the Molex Optical Solutions Group and Elenion Technologies, a semiconductor company driving innovation around silicon photonics technology.

The partners will jointly develop, manufacture and promote silicon photonic-based product solutions. Leveraging CMOS and high-volume manufacturing processes, the companies will collaborate to develop advanced optical interconnect solutions that scale to 400Gbps and beyond.
