Transmitter and Dispersion Eye Closure (TDEC) is a new 86100D DCA-X based measurement that qualifies 25-28 Gbaud optical transceivers for compliance with recent Ethernet and Fibre Channel standards. TDEC calculates the penalty caused by transmitter imperfections after a NRZ signal passes bandwidth-limited multimode fiber. The TDEC measurement requires a hardware filter with 12.6 GHz bandwidth.

Starting immediately Keysight ships all 25/28G capable 86105D and 86115D modules with this filter (option 168 with no extra charge), and offers upgrades to existing units for a nominal amount (options 86105DU-168 and 86115DU-168).
