Awards for MPO optical loss test sets and cloud-based enterprise workflow validate Viavi’s portfolio for cabling technicians and contractors; will be on display at BICSI Fall, Las Vegas.
Viavi Solutions has announced that its SmartClass Fibre MPOLx MPO optical loss test sets and CERTiFi cloud-based enterprise workflow were recognised by the judges of the annual Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards program. The judging panel consisted of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience.
• SmartClass Fibre MPOLx – Gold Winner. The MPOLx from VIAVI Solutions is the industry’s first dedicated optical loss test set that can perform all MPO Tier 1 (basic) test and certification requirements, including the need to test for length, optical loss, polarity and inspect fibre end-face condition.
• CERTiFi – Silver Winner. CERTiFi enhances overall project workflows by syncing test and certification instruments—such as the popular and proven Certifier40G and SmartClass Fibre OLTS-85P—and managing them via a centralised cloud-based system.
“Viavi is proud to be recognised by Cabling Installation & Maintenance. As enterprises and data centres strive to keep up with bandwidth upgrades, and especially as they supplement their in-house technician teams with contractors, they need get-it-done tools coupled with advanced workflow management,” said Kevin Oliver, the company’s VP and General Manager, Converged Instruments and Virtual Test.
“We continue to grow our MPO characterization and certification offerings for our customers, and CERTiFi leverages Viavi’s extensive experience in cloud-based workflow management in a platform tailored for enterprise test and certification.”
Alan Bergstein, publisher of Cabling Installation & Maintenance said “This prestigious program allows Cabling Installation & Maintenance to celebrate and recognise the most innovative products and services in the structured cabling industry. Our 2017 Honorees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact in the industry.”
The Innovators Awards are judged based on the following criteria: innovation, value to the User, sustainability, meeting a defined need, collaboration and impact.
