Veteran telecom executive to lead sales for growing optical networking solutions provider.

Optical networking solution provider Optelian has announced that Bryan Hall has joined the team as Senior Vice President of Sales. In his new role, Hall will lead worldwide sales and business development.

Optelian CEO David Weymouth commented, “Hall is a strong leader known for his success in building businesses and increasing revenue. Improving network infrastructures to facilitate access to video and content streaming, cloud-based services, mobile broadband, the Internet of Things, and Big Data applications is critical. We are confident that his breadth of experience will play an integral role in supporting our growth while ensuring we are aligned with our customer’s needs.”

Hall joins Optelian with more than 20 years of prior experience in increasingly senior sales leadership roles, including senior sales positions at Axsun Technologies, Dowslake Microsystems, Mintera Corporation (acquired by Oclaro), Quantum Photonics (merged with Codeon to create Covega), AstralPoint Communications (acquired by Alcatel) and Pirelli Telecom (acquired by Cisco).

“Optelian has significant growth potential as capacity constraints, in the metro and edge, become more critical with 5G and the outward migration of cloud computing,” said Hall. “I’m excited to be a part of a great team and company well positioned to immediately serve this need with advanced solutions that are cost effective.”

Hall graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology with B.S. and M.S. degrees. Optelian is a trusted full-service provider of optical networking solutions that move customer data reliably at the lowest total cost of ownership.
